Welcome to Lowfield Farm Cottages, located in Middleton-by-Youlgreave, near Bakewell, in the heart of the Derbyshire Peak District.
If you are looking for a quiet and peaceful holiday break then the two self catering holiday cottages at Lowfield Farm take some beating. Although no longer a working farm Lowfield is in the White Peak area of the National Park and has splendid views over the dales to the peaks.
Beautiful walking is quite literally on the doorstep. The cottages are a mile from the charming and unspoilt hamlet of Middleton-by-Youlgrave one of the untouched prettiest villages in Derbyshire.
Lowfield Farm is close to Lathkill Dale and the other much quieter Gratton, Bradford and Longdales. So whether walking the hills and dales or enjoying a good read away from the hustle and bustle this is a fabulous escape. We also welcome well behaved dogs to the cottages.
We have two cottages available, Curlew Cottage and Abbot's Flight - so named because of the legend of a tunnel that connected Lowfield Farm to a nearby monastery - oppressed Monks apparently took flight to the farm via the tunnel! Both cottages have stunning views over the surrounding countryside, providing walks directly from the back door. Click Here to find out more about both cottages.
